i finally found a printer this year that printed on gaitor board for me of photo mosaic.

30x20in I think it was $44

iris scott is a bad ass finger painter. friend of mine has a print of hers in living room and made that into photo mosaic from thousands of pictures I have taken over the years.


The installation was to prevent oil being sent through the intake. 126k miles on the engine and increased boost from Vf48 upgrade increases tendency of blow by. This deletes simple ball bearing type pcv valve and puts heated tank that drains back oil collected and supplies clear oil free air to intake pre-turbo.
First challenge was to move cruise control module as I need to mount aos on these two bolts. 


Tool the unit off and trimmed the mounting bracket to use only one of three mounting points. Lowering the mounting to below aos.

The only real issue I had was the connection from aos to tmic crossover pipe was not long enough. The only documentation made it appear they swapped the valve cover and output port, this would not work for me. Purchased 2 ft of 1/2 hose and made it work.

Went to harbor freight and pick up dual action polisher metal polish and some 303

Taped off around light cleaning with window cleaner and dish pad and went at it.

They turned out great will use this method again

SolarPlant Project

I have been working on a monitoring and alert system for my garden. Something that can read the soil temperature and moisture content while running from the sun. 

I have been learning electronics as a hobby for couple of years and have acquired different types microcontrollers; arduino, raspberry pi, ESP8266.  After a bunch of trial and error I began to really settle on the ESP, specifically the wemos d1 mini program with the Arduino ide. 

This project was put into a cheap sealed ammo box with a waterproof crimp port for the connecting wires for probes into soil. There is a TP4056 charger circuit that takes the 5v power from the solar cell to charge the battery. 

The wemos is programmed to send values to software called influxdb that stores these values and have configure software Grafana to report against it. This is what will be used to send text message to water the garden. 

Currently in a one week test or until battery dies test before building final board and deploy for the garden’s season. 

If all goes well,  phase 2 would be have gutter fill a rain collector that would feed a soaker hose to water when needed or until out of water..
